Goodtime Chinese School (GCS), registered in September 2009, is a private Chinese school that has the highest number of Chinese-learning students in Oregon. GCS is a non-profit organization.
Goodtime Chinese School specializes in Chinese and English bilingual teaching. GCS's main programs are bilingual preschool, bilingual elementary school, Chinese afterschool program, and weekend Chinese school. GCS provides classes in Chinese reading and writing, English reading and writing, math, science, art, and other enrichment courses, such as Cogat preparation and AP Chinese. GCS also provides summer, winter, and spring break camps where the children not only learn Chinese, English, math, art but also take field trips where they can learn and enjoy nature.
GCS has a strong and experienced teaching team. They love children and are devoted to youth education. Most of our teachers have academic degrees in education, or years of experience working in a professional education career. GCS principal, Mr. Yibing Shu, and director, Mrs. Yanzhuo Zhou are specialists in Chinese teaching methods and diversity culture research. Their books improve Chinese teaching nationwide.
We are looking for a teacher either part-time or full-time to teach mandarin in our elementary school. This position is available immediately. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an elementary educator, or have prior experience working as a mandarin instructor for children. A BA or MA in education is preferable.
